Salt pot from Bours restored

A container found in privious excavations on the keep of Bours has been restored by the Institute of Archeology of the Pas-de-Calais.

Dated to the 15th or 16th Century, this vase has an opening of 43 cm wide and probably served to salt meet or vegetables. See in images all the steps of its restoration.

You can even get a real look to this little treasure at the actual archeology exhibition of Dainvile "Ça ne manque pas de sel". Free entry for everyone !
